Marco Polo currently not in service.

Transocean Tours, the tour company chartering the Marco Polo went out of business in 2009. The Marco Polo is now dockside awaiting her next charter.

Welcome to the Orient Lines Blog. We will try to keep you update on whats happening at Orient Lines.

As you know we decided not operate in 2009/2010 with the Marco Polo II due to the sudden World economic crisis. As a result the Marco Polo II (Maxim Gorkiy) was not delivered to Orient Lines in April of 2009. Orient Lines will now look for ships in the 600-900 passenger range to sail to worldwide destinations.

At the request of our passengers we will only consider ships that can deliver the value pricing "Polo Club" members have come to expect.

Later this year we hope to launch a more interactive web site to allow friends of Orient Lines to communicate their ideas about Itineraries, ships, food, entertainment, staff, pricing, and more.

As Orient Lines reemerges in 2011 we look to our "Polo Club" members to guide us in the right direction.
